Stone lanterns like the one in this picture are dotted across the temples of Japan, featuring in my blog once before. Wandering around on a beautiful, crisp, winters day I had a photo idea- to capture the sun in the lanterns whole, beams glaring through. After scrambling around on the floor for a while, trying to find the right angle, I ended up with this picture.
