A couple of days ago I posted some photos of a couple ambling through a bamboo grove in Kyoto. On a return trip, I decided to photograph the bamboo itself. My favourite shot from the day was this close up- showing off the vibrant greens and repeating patterns that make a bamboo forest so beautiful.

Day 55- A Pagoda at Sunset
This is my second photo from Gion. Wandering around, this pagoda gracefully fills the skyline- an elaborate marker ensuring you never feel too lost amongst the hazy maze of streets. I decided to place it in silhouette, bold against a beautiful sunset of red and orange.
