A quick road-trip out of Hagi there are some amazing caves called Akiyoshido. They were beautiful to walk through, dark and eerie with lots of opportunities for photos. This is the signature shot, the one on all the postcards. I tried a bit of a different take, silhouetting a couple strolling through the entrance.

Stopping for an ice cream, I noticed this shot and thought it might make a good candid. Everyone lined up enyoying themselves, orderly ice cream time in Japan.

Japanese people are very welcoming and are always keen to get foreigners involved with cultural events.
