Following on from yesterdays post…
Grand structures like Todai-ji temple are photographed often, a saturation of images leaving little leave-way for an original shot- an endeavour I stumbled around for a while, pacing about under a pink cherry blossom canope. Eventually, I found something a bit different and abstract in the temples roofes, scouting about for an interesting symmetrical composition.
Following on from yesterdays post…
I happened (carefully planned) to be in Kyoto and Nara for the cherry blossom bloom- to add a bit of wonder to an already magical place. At the Todai-ji temple there was one tree in full bloom, a pretty pink centre piece wavering in and out of foucus…
I am lucky enough to have just returned from a two and a half month adventure in India- see a couple of postcards here.
Now, from one culture and country to another, it’s back to my year of pictures from Japan- starting with the Todai-ji temple in Nara. It nestles a quaint thirty minute train ride from Kyoto and is a little bit awe-inspiring- the worlds largest wooden structure, and home to a giant Buddha (whom you can meet in a few posts time)…
