I took this at what I think is one of the most beautiful spots in my home town and, through my rose-tinted glasses, Japan. Every time I visit, it makes me feel a bit like Indiana Jones – stumbling across a long lost relic for the first time. During the Japanese Buddhist festival of Obon, the lanterns are lit up like big stone candles, beautiful and surreal.
