They are freezing 🙂 During the cold winter months the monkeys visit the Jigokudani Monkey Park and relax in hot springs. For these photos I just had a Nikon D3000 along with its 18-55mm kit lens. I have since upgraded to other cameras and lenses, but it shows what you can get with just the basic kit!

They almost look like cartoon characters. I’ve heard that they have become so accustomed to humans that they will often come right up to you looking for food.

They do look a little unreal. The baby ones are very playful and jump in and around you, I’m sure they get cheeky and try and nab some food 🙂
