On a night time meander in Kyoto I stumbled into this temple, bejeweled with hanging lanterns. It was too dark for a hand held shot so I had to rest my camera precariously on an ornate wooden beam for a long exposure. The result is quite eerie and abstract- passers by blurred in a ghostly hunched haze and the lights glinting like kaleidoscopes.
