On 9th August 1945 Nagasaki was the second city in Japan devastated by an atomic bomb. Sometimes it seems forgotten in Hiroshima’s wake but was equally effected. Indeed, the fact a second bomb was dropped is a telling condemnation of the first. Like Hiroshima, Nagasaki built a peace park at the blasts epicentre- a memorial of remembrance and a symbol of peace.
I used the fountain to frame the park, lines leading you to the park’s crowning statue- passing a couple out on a winters stroll.

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog! Nagasaki’s park is not at grand as Hiroshima’s but is equally poignant.
