Day 115- A Dome

Hiroshima is unfortunately famous, put on the map for being wiped off it. The epicentre of the explosion has been turned into a park- a symbol of peace, marking one of histories most horrific events.

The park is crowned by a peace dome- one of the only structures left standing after the blast, rubble where it fell. It is now a mecca for peace, and for peaceful protest. The dome a poignant backdrop, people gather daily to campaign for nuclear disarmament. Unfortunately, they haven’t been successful yet. There is a clock in the park denoting the time passed since a nuclear weapons test- 78 days, by the U.S.A. Both America and Russia have enough nuclear warheads to destroy the world umpteen times over. At least stop at once.
