Day 99- Stairs

Temples in Japan are often on the top of a hill, gracefully peeking their heads over the summit of crumbling stairs as you plod your way to the top. After a climb at the nearby temple in Hofu, I stopped for a breath and stumbled into this photo- some Japanese children bounding their way to the top, smiles on their faces, mocking everyone else’s tired and puffed expressions.
