One of my favourite things about winter is the early evening light, the golden hour just before the sun goes down.
Cycling around, I stumbled across a temple I had not seen before. This happens a surprising amount. Temples are often on the top af a hill, the stairs winding to them set discretely into the roadside and easy to stroll past un-noticed. On the way back down the sun began to set, diffusing softly through the trees to give a warm and hazy orange glow- perfect for a picture. My friend jumped a few steps, adding a bit of action to the shot.

I love these images – fun. And love how you described the the onset of sunset.. I was thinking the same thing when I was in central Park a few days ago and will be posting the photos soon. Will you show the temple you came across?

Saw the post you mentioned. Really liked it- great cross section of life in central park and some really cool light! None of that temple in particular, it wasn’t one of the more impressive ones I’ve seen. I am sure there will be some more in future posts. It is easy to get a bit templed out in Japan! The really are round every corner.
