Tying my fortune, with a wish, at a Shinto shrine. At Shinto shrines there are fortune machines, 100 yen a time. If your fortune is bad, it is tradition to ward off bad luck by tying it to a tree branch, or to string dotted around the temple. I’ll be honest, I couldn’t really understand my fortune- I just thought I should tie it in case.
